    Exciting opportunity for a plant controller with a background in food and beverages manufacturing to join a multi-billion-dollar food processor in the Turlock, CA area. Reporting to the Vice President – Finance, this position has oversight of all accounting activities at two facilities.


    This person will be responsible for timely and accurate recording of daily production of all finished good product lines, ensuring accurate inventories of finished goods and retail items, accounts payable, and KPI reporting. An attractive base salary, benefits and relocation package will be provided.

    Job Function

    • Ensure that daily finished goods production is recorded timely and accurately
    • Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly plant performance reports
    • Preparation of monthly State reports
    • Provide financial leadership to both facilities
    • Partner with Operations Management to identify and eliminate waste
    • Provide leadership direction to accounting staffs to include development opportunities, performance management, and individual development plans
    • Supervise the recording of daily receipts of various products
    • Maintain accurate inventory records at the plant storage facilities as well as third party warehouses
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
    • Supervise, review, and approve vouchering of accounts payable
    • Review and submit timecards
    • Review and summarize the semi-annual inventories and submit to Corp. accounting

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
    • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in the food & beverage industry
    • Previous supervisory experience required
    • Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
    • Experience leading and developing a team of people responsible for accounting activities
    • Excellent data analysis skills with a focus on problem solving
    • Strong computer skills, specifically in Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to delegate effectively
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the organization
    • Perform tasks with a high level of confidentiality
    • Flexible and positive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
