    Join an energetic, engaged and diverse Finance Team! The hands-on Accounting Manager will report to the Financial Controller and will be primarily responsible for the oversight and guidance of the daily transactional operations team members with an attention to US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. While driving transactional accuracy and timeliness, the Accounting Manager will be instrumental in championing accounting best practices and continuous improvement within the Finance Team, and in cultivating strong relationships and effective communications with other Departments.

    Job Function

    • Provide leadership, coaching, and development of 5 direct reports.
    • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer credit and collections processes.
    • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles based on US GAAP Model 
    • Reconcile a collection of General Ledger Accounts Support the monthend closing process and retention of records
    • Oversee the preparation of SALT, property tax, excise tax, CRV and unclaimed property filings
    • Participate and assist with fiscal period closing processes and associated financial analysis
    • Continuously assess and improve internal controls and ensure best practices are in place in areas noted above
    • Transact ACH and wire payments
    • Prepare, interpret and communicate financial information verbally and in spreadsheet format
    • Provide Audit support Perform as Master Data Steward for organization Assist in analysis, special projects and other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant, progressive experience
    • Minimum of one year of experience supervising two or more direct reports
    • Systems savvy with advanced MS Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.) 
    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of, and a high level of competence in US GAAP, and product manufacturing 
    • Ability to lead by example, and to coach, motivate, develop, reward and discipline staff Strong ethical discipline and leadership 
    • Ability to partner effectively with peers and to manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the Company within an environment of rapid growth and change to ensure a high level of customer service and a high-quality work product 
    • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail 
    • Ability to focus on solutions driven outcomes while demonstrating strong internal drive and ability to work independently 
    • Focus on individual and team-based accountability 
    • Enthusiastic desire to continually improve and grow mastery of their field through constant evaluation of external best practices relating to US GAAP accounting, reporting, internal controls, and industry trends
