  • Overview

    The East Coast Warehouse Direct to Consumer (DTC) Fulfillment Manager reports to the Director of Operations and will oversee the East Coast warehouse operations and staff for all DTC order fulfillment.


    The manager will oversee and execute order fulfillment including picking, packing and arranging proprietary shipping. They will coordinate daily delivery and pick-up schedules, execute, delegate and oversee inbound and outbound procedures and ensure that daily orders are fulfilled with accuracy, efficiency and precision. All decisions around fulfillment are customer centered and in consideration.

    Working closely with West Coast HQ, this manager will collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance departments to help ensure success of all shipments and ensure the best customer delivery experience.

    Job Function

    • Manage inventory control, warehouse and fulfillment employees to oversee the complete wine pick and pack process flow to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This includes distribution of work, quality assurance, and discrepancy resolution.
    • Ensure a safe and productive work environment by maintaining an organized and clean warehouse.
    • Supervise warehouse team development through timely completion of objectives, performance reviews, and communication of day-to-day expectations and improvements.
    • Establish and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recommend changes to improve operational efficiency 
    • Train warehouse staff in the proper and safe handling of inventory.
    • Provide examples and supervise picking on the floor; run a continous QA process.
    • Oversee inventory management efforts to ensure a fully reconciled stock position, including dead property management
    • Main point of contact for clients, agents, and DTC Customer Service Coordinators.
    • Interface with, schedule, and organize trucking by providing the date, time, and location of the property deliveries and pick up. Answer FAQs from trucking companies and clients.
    • Ensure timely processing/shipping of DTC East Coast Orders
    • Works with all Order Processing teams and systems to ensure proper processing of orders at the transactional level
    • Responsible for QVC Batch Print shipping labels for QVC shows
    • Work with Finance to ensure policies meet business requirements
    • Cycle Count program/ Daily inventory audits and system cross checks as needed
    • Work with IT department troubleshooting software and hardware issues

    Job Requirements

    • Background in logistics and inventory management with experience developing and implementing successful methods of capturing statistics for KPI reporting.
    • Proven leadership skills and "hands on" management experience with a focus on continuous improvement and leading by example.
    • Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and time management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, highly detail orientated
    • Self-initiation of tasks to complete the above mentioned responsibility is a MUST
    • Strong Excel skill and experience with WMS, ERP or other Order Processing, Inventory Management Systems
    • Basic technical skills with printers/pc’s
    • Licensed to manage and run a traditional warehouse forklift.
    • Working knowledge of wine industry compliance standards.
