Exciting 3 month opportunity for a Vice President of Engineering to drive the development of a new data center cooling products from concept to production.
Responsible for the design of data center cooling products that meet customer needs, manufacturing capabilities, and business objectives.
Leads multiple groups of engineers and project managers across North America through the entire product development life cycle.
Ensures team attains project specific metrics for product performance, time to market, and cost.
Establishes department processes to ensure the smooth operation and attainment of department level metrics (e.g., staffing, spending, etc.).
Coaches department to continuously improve on journey toward engineering excellence. This includes driving the use of best practices ranging from tools (e.g., CAD, CFD, FEA, EES, Mathlab, Simulink, Trnsys, etc.) to techniques and processes (e.g., project management, problem solving, DOE, House of Quality, etc).
Works closely with customer facing peers to ensure products meet customer and market requirements.
Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
Ability to personally live safe and hold themselves and other team members accountable by having their back in support of our Safety core value.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
At least ten years of demonstrated success delivering business results through leading engineering teams for high-performing, global manufacturing companies.
Hands-on professional that grew their career through progressive engineering assignments and complemented with demanding, high-impact assignments.
Excellent people skills with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships across a matrix, multi-cultural organization.
Working knowledge of agency (i.e., U.L. 1995 and CE) requirements for commercial equipment.
Knowledgeable about state-of-the-art design tools (e.g., CAD, CFD, FEA, EES, Matlab) and product development best practices (e.g., new product development process, APQP, DFMEA, house of quality, VAVE, etc.).
Strong organizational and department management skills.
