  • Overview

    We are searching for a Health and Safety Manager to effectively lead and manage the plant’s safety and health processes through and with the management team by identifying and anticipating concerns and hazards; developing and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures; and conducting studies and investigations.


    The Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Group is focused on improving performance in safety, health, and environmental compliance, reducing risks to safety and health.

    Job Function

    • Leading the site in developing, implementing, and maintaining the plant health and safety programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Corporate regulations and guidelines and creating a culture that promotes safety excellence and strives for zero injury operations
    • Maintaining processes and procedures that ensure that safety reporting content and timeframes are met and that the quality of the information provided correctly and clearly reflects the compliance status of the facility
    • Directing the plant security programs, procedures, and personnel to ensure access control procedures are sufficient to provide for the physical security of plant personal and assets on plant property
    • Understanding of Workers Compensation laws

    Job Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering discipline
    • More than 5 years’ experience in safety, health, and environmental management
    • Significant, direct, and practical experience dealing with safety and health issues in an industrial plant setting
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or equivalent, or the ability to become certified within 18 months.
    • Experience implementing and interpreting regulations such as OSHA as well as medical, fire prevention, and security defense knowledge
