  • Overview

    We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer to lead a team of 3+ and act as the main point of contact for an international client base at a rapidly expanding ag & industrial equipment manufacturer in Dinuba.

    Job Function

    The Engineering Manager plans, directs and coordinates the engineering functions and works as part of a team to maintain or develop processes and equipment necessary to achieve manufacturing and quality objectives.  The ability to effectively document and communicate direction and objectives to management and suppliers is critical.  Job assignments are complex in nature and require excellent planning, project leadership, technical skills and communication to be successful in meeting project objectives.


    • Originates and produces all designs and layouts
    • Supervises the draftsman
    • Responsible for planning and carrying through all design and engineering phases of a project
    • Responsible for all of the preliminary engineering – before, during and after the quotation process
    • Formulates the corresponding documentation for projects, operations, and programs in accordance with the company’s standards
    • Directs all research and development studies
    • Assists the manufacturing and machine shop personnel in implementing the productive running of the job
    • Is available to travel for purposes of installations, trouble-shooting, pre-engineering trips, and sales trips.
    • Responsible to develop and maintain standard data fore each machine made.
    • Be able to work around, and sometimes within, heavy machinery with no physical restraints.
    • Support Management and peers by anticipating problems, providing input on solutions, and reacting productively to change and handling other tasks as assigned

    Job Requirements

    • Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
    • Proficient skills in SolidWorks or AutoCad.
    • Knowledge of PLC programming with experience designing new equipment or providing analysis / recommendations on how to improve automation, material handling, layout and material flow for existing equipment. Coordinate its fabrication, assembly, installation and startup as needed.
    • Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to troubleshoot or recommend alternative solutions to large international client base.
    • Solid leadership skills with a track record of coaching junior engineers and draftsperson.
    • Ability to connect with all levels within the organization, with a focus on collaborating with the maintenance and manufacturing teams.
    • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (including domestic & international).
