  • Overview

    There are multiple exciting opportunities for Processing Managers to add value to an egg processing company in Missouri and Iowa. This is a highly visible position and reports to the Operations Director.

    Job Function

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide the leadership necessary to obtain the goals set by Corporate Management.
    • Continuously lead Safety and bio-security program and initiatives for the processing facility. Support other safety matters throughout the Complex. Ensure that all employees are working safely. Manage retraining and implement change with purpose and urgency. Maintain compliance with environmental, regulatory agencies
    • Verify and validate quality policy procedures.
    • Conduct monthly reviews of quality program.
    • Lead management team HACCP meetings, and insure proper resources are in place.
    • Lead a continuous process improvement initiative.
    • Be alert to better, more cost effective and efficient ways of running the processing operation
    • Review processing reports, conduct trend analysis and make decisions in order to maximize efficiency of processing operation.

     

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AS REQUESTED:

    • Ensure compliance of all company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor personal performance of employees and provide guidance where necessary.

    Job Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to understand and implement company quality policy, food safety fundamentals, company personal safety and conduct policies.
    • Ability to understand and ensure facility remains current and operates within all industry regulations
    • Ability to successfully supervising and directing people and their work.
    • Lead by example, jumping in when necessary to keep operation moving.
    • Ability to motivate and lead employees.

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 3-5 years of experience managing 25 plus direct reports
    • Prior experience in an Egg Processing Facility
    • Excellent leadership skills
    • Basic computer skills (Windows, Outlook).
    • Basic communication skills (Written and Oral).

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    High school diploma or GED with commensurate experience.
