  • Overview

    We are searching for a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic direction and leadership for the accounting, finance, IT, HR, and risk management functions at a large, vertically-integrated agricultural processor in the Central Valley, CA.

    Job Function

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving efficiencies in the finance organization, with a focus on asset management, cost reduction, enhancing operating metrics and processes relating to accounting controls, in addition to optimizing accounting software and ERP systems. Reporting to the President/CEO, the CFO will also manage banking relationships and review capital structure alternatives, investment options and appropriate risk mitigation strategies while fostering an atmosphere of collaboration across the organization.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related. Master's degree preferred.
    • Professional accreditation, such as a certified public accountant (CPA) preferred. Certified management accountant (CMA) accreditation a bonus.
    • 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience within the food manufacturing or agricultural industry, including a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
    • Track record of streamlining financial reporting and implementing accounting process improvements across multiple entities.
    • Knowledge of all aspects of GAAP required.
    • Background building high-performing finance, accounting, IT and HR teams.
    • Experience managing relationships with banking and financial institutions in addition to sourcing alternative forms of capital preferred.
    • Proficient with risk management strategies and focused on value creation.
    • Experience presenting financial reports to a dynamic and engaged board is a plus.
