    Searching for a high self-motivated Food Ingredients Sales Manager to drive the sales growth of organic and non-GMO pea protein and fiber products for an ingredients business in Kansas City.


    Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a hunter mentality for bringing in new business.

    Job Function

    • Develop new ingredient sales domestically through targeted prospecting, managing and growing business by leveraging internal relationships
    • Manage new and existing accounts, prepare contracts, participate in trade shows and technical seminar presentations
    • Contact and sell to customers at various levels within organizations
    • Understand customer needs and develop positive working relationships along with a clear understanding of the customer base and future trends in the supplement market
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional team members

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in the nutritional/functional food ingredients, preferably in the Dietary Supplements industry.
    • Previous experience selling Pea protein, Soy protein, Inulin or other natural fibers into the nutrition and food markets preferred.
    • Ability to learn and grasp technical detail around products and application
    • Strong presentation skills required, including verbal and written communication
    • Excellent negotiation skills, demonstrating a proven track record
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving
    • Excellent organizational and computer
    • Must be able to travel 40-50%
