  • Overview

    We are searching for a self-starter to manage and grow sales volume for assigned accounts and schools.  The Inside Sales Manager reports directly to the Director of DSD Channel and works closely with other Key Account Development Managers as well as cross-functionally with customer service, distribution and marketing.

    Job Function

    • Identify new customer growth opportunities for all products
    • Identify and communicate ways for customers to increase sales of the Company’s products
    • Promote the Company, its products and services
    • Contact potential new customers from customer service and the website
    • Maintain goodwill with assigned accounts, checking on customer satisfaction with our order entry and delivery personnel
    • Assist customers with quarterly promotional activities
    • Work with Accounts Receivable regarding customer aging report
    • Communicate new products, sales programs to the customer
    • Solve customer problems relating to our products, deliveries, order entry system and/or invoicing
    • Maintain updated customer information files
    • Assist Distribution Department in setting up delivery days and times with new and existing accounts
    • Complete new account forms, customer change forms when needed
    • Process school bids and coordinate school set up with distribution, A/R, etc.
    • Submit a monthly dashboard to the Sales Director
    • Monthly volume forecasting
    • Annual budget forecasting
    • Manage all company business according to the cultural objectives of the company (values and behaviors)
    • Understand and execute the principles of the company’s Operational Excellence program driving the right behaviors, standards and continuous improvement across all operating entities
    • Participate in cross-functional teams as required to advance the business interests of the company
    • Compliance with all company and regulatory policies/guidelines relating to associate safety, food safety and food quality

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
    • 3+ years of experience in a related field
    • Knowledge of SAP platform tools is a plus (AS400, Salient, OnBase)
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
