  • Overview

    The VP of Supply Chain Management leads the warehouse management, custom order production, order fulfillment, and logistics teams.  The supply chain organization key deliverables are product quality, product cost, on time delivery and effective inventory management.  The ideal candidate will be an experienced Supply Chain executive with high levels of operational expertise and a hands-on mindset.

    Job Function

    • Responsible for delivery of supply chain and logistics activities across all brands and platforms, including life cycle management of cased goods.
    • Build and maintain a strong team of focused leaders; this includes recruiting, training, and developing future leaders.
    • Identification and implementation of forward thinking, scalable processes and systems across every aspect of the supply chain.
    • Direct the necessary research and critical analyses to support operational excellence and capacity decisions.
    • Manage, review and report on efficiency, and financial performance of production, maintenance and logistics function against operating plans.
    • Must be an active and collaborative participant of the executive team that assists senior leadership in developing, defining and implementing brand, product, sales and marketing strategy for brands.
    • Closely liaise with brand managers and customer service team towards meeting customer expectations and delivery schedules.
    • Provide outstanding service to customers and meet commitments.
    • Establish and maintain safety procedures to enable a safe working environment for team members and compliance with regulations.
    • Create a cohesive, effective and efficient operations group through development and hands-on execution of operating plans, while building an appropriate organizational structure and implementing the corresponding work processes to support the company’s corporate objectives.
    • Manage growth cost-effectively, including the creation of a lean/continuous improvement enterprise environment.
    • Responsible to complete other duties as assigned by management

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in industrial engineering or related discipline, MBA or other advance degree highly desirable
    • 15+ years of supply chain management in consumer products, food manufacturing or food distribution industry
    • At least 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain management including at least 3-5 years leading in a high volume customized fulfillment organization.
    • Direct to consumer "pick and pack" experience required
    • Successful track record of deploying continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Lean, JIT, TQM
    • ERP system experience with advanced warehouse management skills with proven ability to optimize inventory control utilizing organization, procedures, and technology.
    • Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills both internally and externally with focus on areas of the business that will have an impact on improved operations.
    • Ability to prioritize within a dynamic environment. Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization and in multiple locations.
    • Demonstrated ability to implement, manage, and execute scalable processes that result in improved performance against schedules and cost.
    • Track record in hiring, retaining and growing a core operations team.
