  • Overview

    Searching for a dynamic FP&A Director to drive the strategic annual financial planning process and related FP&A reporting for privately held food manufacturer in Chico.

    Job Function

    • Improve process and tools to support strategic annual planning and FP&A reporting
    • Develop and lead budget/forecast cycle across functional areas and provide guidance on future financial outlook of company. Ad hoc analysis to support key investment opportunities
    • Develop and coach the FP&A team.  Ensure that they provide accurate reporting and visibility across the business 
    • Build daily, weekly and monthly reporting structure for a variety of internal reporting needs
    • Month-end and annual financial management reporting for both investors and internal functional areas
    • Partner with the CFO and Corporate Controller and peer to senior leadership team. Act as the key financial lead in S&OP process.  
    • Well versed and agree to the business continuity Commitment to Food Safety and Quality. Report anything that may compromise food safety and quality to appropriate personnel, including the SQF Practitioner.
    • Comply with the regulations as outlined in the Corporate Document Control Policy.
    • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Good Agricultural Practices (GAP’s), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP’s), when applicable.
    • Fulfill certain roles for the CFO in their absence, as deemed appropriate.

    Job Requirements

    • BS/BA in accounting, finance or equivalent is required.
    • A minimum of 10 years professional progressive financial experience within food processing, agriculture and/or general processing/manufacturing experience. CPG experience preferred.
    • Solid knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    • Proficient in MS Office programs, advance Excel abilities. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) preferred.
    • Produce work in a timely, budgeted, scheduled and profitable manner for the company.  Experience managing details of multiple projects in an efficient and organized method.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building high-performing FP&A teams.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
    • Embraces change and improving processes in an ever-evolving, start-up atmosphere; strong desire to achieve professionally.
