    Exciting opportunity for a Sales Director with a track record in leading sales and commercial transformation in a complex global organization. 


    This is a highly visible position and the opportunity to develop a Go-To-Market strategy focused on coordinating the sales efforts and optimizing the use of a CRM system for multiple subsidiaries at a global ingredients manufacturer in Chicago.

    Job Function

    • Conduct a systematic gap analysis of the go to market (GTM) capability leveraging external benchmarking and work with the Sales Excellence Leadership Team to develop prioritized action plans to address gaps and create competitive advantage.
    • Create and implement global standards, working with key stakeholders, to ensure Customers have similar experiences in how they are being served globally, through a GTM organization that differentiates Ingredion from competitors.
    • Ensure Customer Experience concepts visibly drive GTM processes, systems and talent initiatives.
    • Establish consistent global processes to maximize the return on our systems investments (salesforce.com, Eloqua/Dig Marketing, contract management approval etc.) and ensure clear customer experience deliverables related to these systems.
    • Design and deliver a global GTM training structure focused on both foundational skills and evolving needs like leveraging digital tools and strengthening the sales-technical partnership in bringing solutions to customers
    • Create tools and processes to help GTM teams simply and effectively communicate technology and benefit platforms to the customer
    • Establish forum for sales leaders to exchange best practices and manage global investments to improve sales capability.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, food science or related technical field required.  Master's degree in business or MBA is a strong plus.
    • 5+ years leadership level sales experience in the food ingredients industry working with a broad range of customers and/or 5+ years of sales excellence experience, working globally and across a broad range of customers in manufacturing, ingredients, food, pharma, specialty chemicals or related industries.
    • Previous go to market leadership roles in a complex global organization managing both direct and matrix teams on multiple projects.
    • Proven ability to influence, persuade and collaborate across multiple organizational levels and functions
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage execution
    • Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.
