  • Overview

    We are searching for an Ingredients Buyer to support in the development of sourcing strategy (cost modeling, market analysis, business need assessment) and perform analytics (bid events, supplier negotiations and contract analysis) for a grain milling facility based in Woodland, CA. This position owns end-to-end analysis of categories and the supply base to determine lowest landed cost.

    Job Function

    The role will assess supplier performance KPI’s, resolve quality issues and generate market intelligence. This individual will focus on category optimization, process improvement and delivering against individual and departmental goals.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field
    • Minimum 2 years research, commodities and/or procurement experience required
    • Strong analytical and presentation skills
    • Ability to interface with wide variety of business situations and all levels of management, trade groups, conventions, etc.
    • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to utilize influencing skills effectively in a cross-functional environment.
    • Grain milling experience preferred
